Several Pakistani cricketers have been allowed to take part in the upcoming Big Bash League season 15 after receiving formal approval from the Pakistan Cricket Board, according to Geo Super.

According to details shared with the media outlet, both the players and Cricket Australia have been notified of the decision.

Those who were previously granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) will now be allowed to feature in the league without any restrictions.

The PCB had recently announced a halt on issuing NOCs for foreign T20 leagues, but an exception has been made for players who already had valid contracts in place.

Reports also suggest that BBL franchises are gearing up to welcome the Pakistani contingent, with some clubs even preparing special fan areas named after their star signings.

The 15th edition of the BBL will run from December 14, 2025, to January 25, 2026, featuring 44 early-evening fixtures.

The tournament will open with a high-profile clash between the Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers at Perth Stadium — a match expected to draw major attention as Babar Azam gears up for his debut season in the league.

Among the other Pakistan players, Shaheen Afridi has joined Brisbane Heat as their platinum pick, Mohammad Rizwan will represent Melbourne Renegades, Haris Rauf has been retained by Melbourne Stars, Shadab Khan will feature for Sydney Thunder, Hasan Ali has signed with Adelaide Strikers, and Hassan Khan will also turn out for the Renegades.
