The federal government’s spokesperson for Sindh, Raja Khaliq Ansari, has announced that extension work on Karachi’s Green Line project will resume soon after key approvals and discussions held at the Prime Minister’s House.
Speaking to Geo News, Ansari said that all pending matters related to the Green Line had been reviewed, and unfinished works identified by the local government would be completed promptly.
He added that the month-long delay had shifted the project’s completion timeline to September 2026.
Ansari confirmed that the project will include new stations near Capri Cinema, Plaza, and Jamia Cloth, with the Green Line service terminating at Jamia Cloth Market.
He clarified that confusion regarding the NOC was unnecessary, as the document had already been approved in 2017 and remained valid.
