The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Beaconhouse School System have signed a three-year agreement to provide free education to 120 top-performing young cricketers from across 16 regions of the country.
The initiative covers players from U15, U17, and U19 categories, offering full educational support from July 31, 2025, to July 31, 2028. The PCB has already finalized and submitted the list of deserving players who will benefit from this scholarship program.
The signing ceremony was held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, attended by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, COO Sumair Ahmed Syed, White-ball Head Coach Mike Hesson, Director Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi, and SGM Domestic Junaid Zia.
Representing Beaconhouse were Chief Executive Kasim Kasuri, COO Ali Ahmad Khan, AD Operations Faisal Nisar, General Manager Syeda Iram Naqvi, and Manager Sports Tania Mallick, reflecting strong institutional commitment to youth development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Mohsin Naqvi appreciated Beaconhouse’s role, stating that the partnership demonstrates PCB’s vision of supporting both education and cricket development among Pakistan’s young talent.
He added that this collaboration will allow cricketers to focus equally on education and sports, calling it “the beginning of a bright future” for the players. He also revealed plans to expand educational scholarships for more young cricketers in the future.
The partnership signifies a holistic approach to player development, ensuring that the next generation of cricketers is not only skilled on the field but also educated and empowered off it.
