Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, H.E. Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, met with H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the current state of bilateral trade and explored opportunities to further strengthen economic cooperation between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
The discussion focused on enhancing collaboration across key sectors, including investment, trade facilitation, and mutual business development to reinforce economic ties between the two brotherly nations.
Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan expressed appreciation for the UAE’s continuous support and hospitality, commending its role in promoting regional trade and investment partnerships with Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Trade and Investment Counsellor in Dubai, Ali Zeb Khan, also attended the meeting and contributed to discussions on expanding trade volumes and facilitating smoother business operations.
Earlier to this, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, met UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting reviewed the close and historic relations between Pakistan and the UAE, highlighting opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation in diverse economic areas, including trade, tourism, investment, and technology-driven development.
H.E. Al Marri praised Ambassador Tirmizi’s efforts in strengthening Pakistan-UAE ties throughout his tenure.
He said the envoy played an important role in promoting collaboration between the two nations across vital sectors.
Ambassador Tirmizi expressed sincere appreciation for the UAE government and people, thanking them for their hospitality and consistent support during his service.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to build further on strong fraternal relations.
