Following the major protest call across Karachi, the Traffic Police has issued the latest updates about road closures across the metropolis.
Social media platforms were flooded with protest calls by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) in Karachi, just hours after calm was restored in Punjab following several days of unrest.
After the protest calls, some shops were closed in certain areas by residents reacting to unverified reports rather than any actual protest activity.

The Traffic Police spokesperson urged citizens not to believe or spread fabricated or unverified information circulating on social media regarding road closures or protests.
Citizens are advised to stay informed through official sources and contact the Traffic Police Helpline 1915 for assistance to avoid inconvenience during travel.
The statement also reminded the public to tune in to FM 88.6, the official Karachi Traffic Police radio channel, for real-time traffic updates and guidance.
On the other hand, Karachi police also clarified that no demonstrations or sit-ins are currently taking place anywhere in the city.
Law enforcement officials also reiterated that Section 144 is in effect throughout the city, and no group or individual has been granted permission to hold protests or public gatherings.
Police confirmed that a brief protest by the religious-political party near Sindhi Hotel in New Karachi had concluded. The area has since been cleared, and traffic flow has resumed.
It is worth noting that the Sindh government imposed a province-wide ban on protests, sit-ins, rallies, and public gatherings under Section 144 on Sunday. The restriction will remain in place for one month, citing security concerns.
