Pakistan has hired a sports psychologist for Pakistan vs India Super Four to help players stay composed before Sunday’s high-pressure Asia Cup encounter in Dubai.
According to media reports, sports psychologist and motivational speaker Dr. Raheel has been tasked with guiding cricketers on relieving mental stress, staying focused, and maintaining composure during the match against India.
His sessions are designed to help players manage anxiety, shift focus from external distractions, and channel pressure into performance.
Ahead of the clash with India, the national squad reportedly held an open meeting to review the shortcomings from their previous outing.

According to reports, the batters admitted to mistakes, agreeing that they needed to rotate the strike more effectively to ease pressure.
Head coach Mike Hesson praised the team’s commitment during the session, reportedly urging players to stay calm and focused, assuring them of his complete backing for the tournament’s remaining matches.
On the Indian side, captain Suryakumar Yadav voiced optimism during a pre match press conference. He said India’s squad is determined to sustain its strong form after three convincing performances in the competition so far.
Yadav stressed that his team’s preparation remains on track, adding that their focus is on executing plans properly and giving spectators a competitive, entertaining contest at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday against Pakistan September 21.
