The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather alert for Karachi and adjoining areas as weather remains unstable under the influence of a weakening depression over southwest Sindh.
According to the official forecast, light to moderate rainfall is expected today in Karachi, Jamshoro, Thatta, and Sujawal. The city may also witness hot and humid conditions throughout the day.
The weather on Wednesday saw intermittent light to moderate rain with maximum temperatures ranging from 27°C to 29°C. Humidity in the morning reached 92 percent, dropping slightly in the evening.
Today’s forecast predicts partly cloudy and humid conditions, with chances of drizzle or light rain. Daytime temperatures may rise between 29°C and 31°C, while the night could cool to 25°C.

Morning humidity is expected to fall to 80–90 percent, while the evening will stay between 70–80 percent. Winds are likely to blow from the south or southwest direction during the day.
Sindh Flood Updates:
PMD also issued a warning for the Indus River as high flood levels are expected at Guddu and Sukkur over the next 24 hours due to the monsoon system.
Authorities advise residents to stay alert for updates and avoid low-lying areas. The Karachi weather pattern suggests continued instability before the monsoon system weakens completely.
