The Sindh government has announced two public holidays on September 5 and 6 in connection with Eid Milad un Nabi, observed on the 12th of Rabi ul Awal.
According to an official notification, all provincial government offices, educational institutions, and departments will remain closed during these two days to mark the annual religious occasion across Sindh.
A day earlier, the federal government also declared September 6, Saturday, as a public holiday throughout the country on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The announcement followed the statement from Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, confirming that no credible moon sightings were reported due to cloudy conditions in most parts of Pakistan.
