The Sultanate of Oman officially launched its new visa program for travelers starting from August 31, 2025.
According to the details, the sultanate is set to launch its Golden Visa program, designed to promote investment, offering long-term residency to investors as part of efforts to attract foreign capital and boost economic growth.
The program will soon be unveiled at an event in Salalah, which will be held under the patronage of Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Sayed, Governor of Dhofar.
The event will also see the signing of cooperation agreements with Sultan Qaboos University, German University of Technology, Oman Energy Association, and Ebina.
According to Oman’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment, the program will be launched with “Al-Majidah Companies”, which is designed to support high-performing Omani firms.

Alongside the Golden Visa, Oman will introduce new digital trade reforms aimed at supporting investors and making it easier to do business in the country.
Mubarak bin Mohammed Al-Dohani, Director-General of Planning at the ministry, said that “The Golden Visa model is already familiar in the Gulf, with neighboring Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates having launched similar schemes to attract investors, entrepreneurs, and skilled professionals in recent years.”
“Oman’s move is seen as part of a wider regional push to diversify economies and reduce reliance on oil revenues internationally,” he added.
With the Golden Visa, Oman hopes to position itself as a competitive destination for global investors, while giving Omani companies the tools to grow, innovate, and expand internationally.
