At least 189 people have died and 21 have been injured during the last 24 hours due to heavy rains and flash floods across multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), PDMA confirmed in its initial report.

The casualties include 163 men, 14 women and 12 children, while 45 houses were damaged – 38 partially destroyed and seven completely demolished, officials reported.

Provincial disaster management teams remain on high alert, urging residents in vulnerable areas to move to safer locations as rains are expected to continue.
