Previously holding fourth place, the national team now occupies fifth position with 3,465 points.
This decline comes amid strong performances from other teams in the same format. Sri Lanka’s impressive performance against Bangladesh has propelled them into fourth place with 4,009 points, surpassing Pakistan in the rankings.
Meanwhile, the West Indies have climbed one position to claim ninth spot, pushing Bangladesh down to tenth in the regional rankings reshuffle.
India continues its reign at the top of the ODI rankings, boasting an impressive 4,471 points.
New Zealand holds firm in second place with 4,160 points, while Australia maintains its strong position in third with 3,473 points, demonstrating the established hierarchy at the summit.
South Africa currently sits in sixth position with 2,775 points, showing consistent performance in the middle tier.
Afghanistan holds seventh place with 2,279 points, reflecting their growing presence in international cricket circles and their steady progress in the rankings.
