The Sindh Workers Welfare Board has approved the financial year budget for 2025-26, including 10,000 free e-bikes for working women across the province.
Under this scheme, industrial women workers will be given electric bikes at no cost, aiming to improve mobility, reduce transport expenses, and promote environmental sustainability across urban and rural areas of Sindh.
In addition to the e-bikes for working women, the board will also distribute sewing machines and build fully solar-powered houses instead of apartments for registered workers and their families.
Other major benefits include accidental health insurance worth Rs 700,000 per year, and access to free treatment at 270 hospitals nationwide, helping workers get quality healthcare.
The marriage grant has been increased from Rs 300,000 to Rs 500,000, while the death grant is now Rs 1 million.
For loans, workers will be eligible once for home and car loans. Bike loans may be availed twice, if not previously used.

Every worker’s profile will be digitally linked with NADRA and EOBI, making documentation faster and more transparent under the board’s digital transformation plan.
The board has also decided to invest Rs3 billion in SECP-approved Shariah-compliant Sukuk bonds to ensure secure, Islamic-mode financing for long-term worker welfare programs.
A new health insurance policy for board employees is in development to reduce excessive medical expenses and streamline treatment limits under Sindh government guidelines.
Educational reforms have also been announced, including school solarization, biannual student uniforms, and complete digitization of all educational institutions under board management.
Sindh Revenue Board Commissioner stated that while the FBR collected Rs350 billion for labor welfare over 53 years, Sindh only received Rs22.5 billion.
Through its own digitization, Sindh generated Rs87 billion in collections.
