The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially unveiled the venues Dubai and Abu Dhabi as the host cities for the upcoming Men’s Twenty20 Asia Cup 2025.

As per the official announcement, the ACC confirmed that the tournament will take place from September 9 to 28, with eight national teams set to compete.

A highly anticipated match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is set for September 14 in Dubai. The tournament will see 19 matches played across both venues – 11 in Dubai and 8 in Abu Dhabi.

The previous T20 Asia Cups were held in 2016 (Bangladesh) and 2022 (UAE).

The tournament has been held biennially since 1984, originally starting as an ODI competition. Since 2016, it has alternated between ODI and T20I formats based on the scheduling of other major tournaments.

India triumphed in the inaugural T20 Asia Cup 2016, defeating Bangladesh in the final. In 2022, Sri Lanka claimed the title by beating Pakistan by 23 runs. Across all formats, India leads with 8 titles, followed by Sri Lanka (6) and Pakistan (2).

The last ODI format Asia Cup was won by India in 2023.

Kohli Dominates the Charts: India’s Virat Kohli leads the run-scoring charts with 429 runs, underlining his T20 brilliance.

When it comes to clearing the boundary, Najibullah Zadran (Afghanistan) tops the list with 13 sixes. He is followed by his teammate Rahmanullah Gurbaz and India’s Rohit Sharma, both with 12 sixes each. Virat Kohli has hit 11, and Babar Hayat has 10.

India’s Virat Kohli and Hong Kong’s Babar Hayat share the highest individual score with 122 runs* each. Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored a fiery 84, followed by Rohit Sharma (India) with 83 and Sabbir Rahman (Bangladesh) with 80.
