The Government of Pakistan has approved emergency humanitarian assistance for Palestine, following directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to urgently dispatch critical relief.
Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), has been tasked with organizing two chartered cargo aircrafts, each with a 100-ton capacity, to deliver rations and essential items.
The relief flights are scheduled for departure within the next two days.
To ensure timely delivery, the flights will be routed through Jordan and Egypt, with onward distribution to the West Bank and other Palestinian areas.
Pakistan’s ambassadors in both countries will oversee the coordination, receipt, and final delivery of aid to ensure swift relief to those in need.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and senior NDMA officials will be present at Islamabad Airport to see off the special flights carrying the humanitarian cargo.
The Government of Pakistan reaffirmed its longstanding support and solidarity with the Palestinian people during this time of crisis, vowing to continue its efforts in providing assistance where needed.
