The School Education and Literacy Department of Sindh has issued new school and college timings effective from August 1, 2025, following the conclusion of summer vacations on July 31.
These revised hours apply to primary, secondary, higher secondary schools, and colleges across Sindh province.
Primary Schools – Single Shift
• Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Primary Schools – Double Shift
• First Shift (Mon–Thu & Sat): 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
• Second Shift (Mon–Sat): 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Secondary & Higher Secondary Schools – Single Shift
• Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Secondary & Higher Secondary Schools – Double Shift
• First Shift (Mon–Thu & Sat): 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM
• Second Shift (Mon–Sat): 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Colleges – Morning Shift
• Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Colleges – Evening Shift
• Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Friday: 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM
The notification emphasizes that these updated timings are applicable to all educational institutions in Sindh.
The government aims to improve academic efficiency while also adapting to seasonal and administrative needs.
