The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has opened 27 vacancies for Assistant Election Commissioner (BS-17). Pakistani citizens are invited to apply based on merit and regional quotas.
Applicants must meet qualification and age criteria to be eligible.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have Second Division in one of the following:
- M.A./M.Sc. (2nd Division)
- B.A (Hons)/B.Sc (Hons)/B.Com (Hons) (2nd Division)
- LLB (5-year program – 2nd Division).
- LLB (3 years – 2nd Division) with two years’ government service experience.
- B.A/B.Sc (2nd Division) with two years’ experience in any government organization.
Age Criteria
Maximum age limit is 30 years, with 5 years general age relaxation, making the upper limit 35 years where allowed.
Quota-based breakdown of vacancies:
- Merit: 02
- Punjab: 10 (includes 3 for women, 1 for minorities)
- Sindh (Urban): 03
- Sindh (Rural): 05 (includes 1 minority)
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 05
- Ex-FATA: 01
- AJK: 01
