Pakistan will participate in the prestigious Royal International Air Tattoo in the United Kingdom from July 18 to 20, showcasing three aircraft, including the JF-17 Thunder, C-130 Hercules, and IL-78, according to RIAT’s official website.

This year marks a milestone for Pakistan’s aviation sector as the JF-17 Thunder makes its debut at the event.

Co-developed by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and China’s Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC), the JF-17 is a multi-role combat aircraft designed as a cost-effective alternative to high-end jets like the F-16.

Since its maiden flight in 2003, the JF-17 has undergone significant upgrades. The latest variant, the JF-17C, comes equipped with enhanced radar systems, advanced avionics, and a more powerful engine, making it one of the Pakistan Air Force’s frontline fighters.

The inclusion of the C-130 Hercules and IL-78 aerial refueling and transport aircraft demonstrates Pakistan’s broader operational capabilities.
