Karachi weather on Muharram

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast for Karachi during 9th and 10th Muharram, falling on July 5 and 6, predicting the expected weather conditions.

According to PMD forecast, the weather in Karachi will remain partly cloudy and humid on Saturday, July 5, with a chance of light drizzle during the night and early morning hours.

As monsoon currents continue to influence the southern Sindh region, Karachi is expected to experience typical early monsoon weather patterns.

The humidity in the morning may reach 70 to 80 percent, slightly dropping to 55 to 65 percent by the evening.

However, daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 33 to 35 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures will range between 28 to 30 degrees Celsius.

The weather on the 10th of Muharram in Karachi – Sunday, July 6 – is expected to remain similar, with a 30 percent chance of early morning showers.

A consistent west to southwesterly breeze is likely to offer slight relief from the humid conditions.

Although Karachi may receive only light drizzle, more active monsoon conditions are expected in other parts of Sindh.

Thunderstorms accompanied by light to moderate rainfall are forecast in Tharparker, Umerkot, Badin, and Thatta. Meanwhile, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Tando Allahyar are expected to receive light drizzle, and isolated showers may occur in northern Sindh districts like Khairpur, Sukkur, and Dadu.

Authorities have advised Karachi residents to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak humidity hours, especially between 9 AM and 4 PM.
