The new Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) unified visa is a single-entry tourist permit that allows travellers to visit six Gulf countries on one visa: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman.
This Schengen-style visa aims to simplify tourism and encourage economic integration among member states. It’s designed for tourists and family visitors only, not work.
Visa Validity, Cost Overview
The GCC tourist visa is expected to offer validity from 30 to 90 days, and will likely be cheaper and faster than applying for six visas individually.
Though the official cost and launch date haven’t been announced yet, authorities confirmed the system is in its final testing phase and coming soon.
Required Documents
To apply, travellers will need a valid passport (minimum six-month validity), passport-sized photograph, confirmed hotel booking or host invitation, and valid travel insurance.
Applicants must also show proof of sufficient funds, such as a recent bank statement, and a return or onward flight ticket to complete the online application process.
How to Apply for GCC Tourist Visa
The visa will be available entirely online through an official portal that’s currently under development and expected to launch in the coming weeks.
Tourists will choose between visiting a single country or all six GCC nations. After approval, visas will be sent by email and shown digitally on arrival.
The system will use global-level security technology to ensure safe and efficient processing for all tourists visiting the Gulf region on the new visa.
