Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) has announced a free re-sit opportunity in November 2025 for students affected by leaked question papers during the May/June 2025 session.
The CIE confirmed that some A-Level and AS-Level exam papers were partially leaked, including Mathematics Paper 12, Mathematics Paper 42, and Computer Science Paper 22, during the June 2025 series.
In response, the exam board said that students who sat any of the three affected exams will receive their results as usual but will also be allowed to re-sit in November at no cost.
This comes weeks after CIE admitted to the leaks, assuring students they would be given extra marks for the affected sections in the original June results.
The exam board made the announcement via its official Facebook page on Monday, adding that messages had been sent to all candidates and families through schools regarding the resit offer.
Cambridge said more details will be shared after the release of the June 2025 results and advised students to stay in touch with their schools for updates on how to register.

The leak controversy had earlier reached Pakistan’s parliamentary committee, where officials promised to share the investigation report after June 16.
During the exam season, students and parents had also raised concerns about tight exam scheduling, with many students forced to sit for two or more papers on the same day.
These issues added stress and raised demands for a review of future Cambridge exam timetables, particularly for international students in high-pressure environments. CIE’s resit offer is seen as a positive step to address student concerns and ensure fairness, especially after a highly controversial examination cycle.
