The gold price in Pakistan jumped significantly on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold rising by Rs6,600 per tola, reaching a new high, as reported by All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJSA) shared that this price rise follows global trends, where the gold rate also surged. This marks one of the biggest single-day hikes recently, with gold reaching a new high of Rs356,800.
In the local market, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs5,658, settling at Rs305,898. The previous day, gold had already gone up by Rs800 per tola.
Internationally, gold was priced at $3,348 per ounce, showing a gain of $66 during the same period. This included a $20 premium, according to data from APGJSA.
Meanwhile, silver prices also moved upward. Silver per tola rose by Rs52, reaching Rs3,834, while 10 grams of silver was sold at Rs3,288.18 on Tuesday.
