Pakistani passport holders must apply for a visit visa before entering Azerbaijan as tourists, as per the latest visa update.
The country offers rich culture, scenic beauty, and historical attractions, especially in its capital, Baku, where ancient streets meet modern towers. Popular tourist sites include the Old City (Icherisheher), Flame Towers, and the Caspian Sea Boulevard.
The Azerbaijani government issues e-visas to Pakistani citizens through the ASAN Visa system, offering two categories – Standard and Urgent – each with different fees and processing times.
As of June 27, 2025, the standard e-visa fee for a 30-day single-entry visa is $20, which equals PKR 5,693, plus a $5 service fee. The processing time takes three to five working days.
For those in a hurry, the urgent visa fee is $50, or approximately PKR 14,232, with a much quicker processing time of three to five hours.
Travelers can apply in three easy steps through the ASAN Visa portal. Once issued, the e-visa remains valid for 90 days, allowing a stay of up to 30 days in Azerbaijan.
Officials remind applicants that an e-visa is a permit to enter and travel within Azerbaijan, but entry can still be denied under specific legal circumstances under the Migration Code.
