The medical students are speeding up preparations for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025, which is expected to be held in the last ten days of September.
Although the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has yet to issue an official confirmation, the news has led students to increase their focus and study efforts nationwide.
The MDCAT is a crucial requirement for admission to medical and dental colleges across Pakistan. The test covers four main subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English.
This year’s test will be held under updated rules. Candidates must have at least 65 percent marks in FSC (Pre-Medical) to be eligible for admission through MDCAT 2025.
The PM&DC has also restricted students from sitting in other provinces. This means students must appear for the test only in their province of domicile this year.
For overseas applicants, the test will only be held in Riyadh, making it the sole international center for MDCAT 2025. No other foreign locations will be available.
These rules were introduced to standardize the process, reduce cross-provincial traffic, and curb mismanagement seen in past years. PM&DC urged students to follow verified updates.
Education experts advise students to base their preparation on the official syllabus, focus on weak areas, and practice past papers under timed conditions to improve accuracy.
MDCAT 2025 remains highly competitive, with merit-based admissions in both public and private colleges. The scores often determine students’ futures in the medical field.
