Pakistan’s Awais beats India’s Pushpender in snooker championship

Awais Munir Six-Red Masterclass

Awais Munir continued his impressive performance in the ongoing Asian Six-Red Snooker Championship in Sri Lanka, securing his victory by defeating Indian cueist Pushpender Singh with a score of 4-2.

With this win, Munir has successfully claimed victory in all three of his group-stage matches. The frame scores in his latest match against Singh were: 1-51, 47-0, 66-0, 10-46, 34-21, and 33-21.

Munir kicked off his campaign on Sunday with two remarkable wins, including a maximum break of 75.

In his Group A opener, he triumphed over Macau’s Chi Kin Chan with a score of 4-2, sealing the final frame with a 52-point break. The scores for that match were: 1-53, 41-11, 38-6, 9-38, 49-0, and 57-0.

He then followed up with a commanding 4-0 victory against Bangladesh’s Ziaur Rahman Azad, achieving a 75-point break—the highest possible in the six-red format. The frame scores for this match were: 65-0, 47-17, 59-8, and 75-0.
