A high-level meeting was chaired by DIG Traffic Karachi to review and finalize traffic arrangements for the Muharram.
The meeting, held at the Conference Hall Auditorium, was attended by all SSPs Traffic Karachi, DSP Operation/Security Saeed Ahmed, DSP Traffic Legal Muhammad Tufail, and organizers of Muharram processions.
Fiqh Jafariya scholars and procession organizers joined the session, discussing key challenges such as traffic congestion, road paving delays, and removal of encroachments along procession routes.
Participants expressed satisfaction over previous year’s arrangements and shared suggestions for improvement. DIG Traffic Karachi assured full support and swift resolution of any concerns raised.
DIG Traffic instructed traffic officers to coordinate closely with law enforcement and local administration for seamless implementation of the Muharram traffic management plan.
He directed concerned departments to begin road repairs and cleanliness drives well ahead of processions to avoid last-minute disruptions. Organizers of processions also committed to cooperating with traffic police and following designated routes and timings to ensure a peaceful environment during Muharram.
