Pakistan issues travel advisory for citizens amid rising Iran-Israel tensions

The Government of Pakistan has issued a travel advisory for its citizens, urging them to avoid traveling to Iran due to the current security situation following Israeli airstrikes.

In a statement, the Federal Ministry of Interior warned Pakistani citizens against visiting Iran, citing safety concerns after deadly attacks by Israel on Iranian soil this week.

The Ministry assured that Pakistan is monitoring the regional situation closely, and all necessary steps are being taken for the safety and safe return of Pakistanis currently residing in Iran.

The advisory comes after Israeli military launched severe attacks in Iran, reportedly targeting nuclear and military locations. Over 80 people were martyred, including nine scientists and top military officers, as per media reports.

In retaliation, Iran fired more than 200 ballistic missiles at Israel, killing four Israelis and injuring over 90. Tensions between the two countries have since escalated rapidly.

Authorities in Islamabad stressed that Pakistan’s primary concern is the security of its nationals, and coordination is underway with relevant foreign missions for emergency arrangements.

Pakistani citizens in Iran have been advised to remain in contact with the embassy and follow official updates from government channels regarding evacuation plans or further instructions.
