Sindh budget 2025

The Sindh government has announced a 12 percent growth in salaries for employees from grade 1 to 16, and a 10 percent increase for grades 17 to 22 in the budget 2025-26.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, presenting the budget for fiscal year 2025-26 on Friday, also announced an 8 percent increase in pension for retired provincial employees across Sindh.

This provincial raise is slightly higher than the federal government’s 10 percent salary and 7 percent pension hike announced earlier for the same fiscal year.

Addressing the Sindh Assembly, CM added that the conveyance allowance for differently abled employees has also been increased to support mobility.

Calling it a “comprehensive budget,” the CM said it includes special welfare grants and funding for development projects targeting long-term growth in the province.

The Annual Development Program (ADP) for the upcoming fiscal year stands at Rs1,018 billion, focusing on infrastructure, rehabilitation, social services, and economic sustainability.

The Provincial ADP was set at Rs520 billion, while the remainder will come from district funds, federal grants, and foreign project support, Shah informed lawmakers.

Key sector allocations include Rs102.8 billion for education, Rs45.4 billion for health, Rs84 billion for irrigation, and Rs132 billion for local government bodies. Murad Ali Shah said this budget would help unlock Sindh’s untapped potential and create better opportunities for public welfare, development, and service delivery.
