Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has officially approved the Summer Internship Program 2025, which will welcome 21 university students from top institutions like FAST, NUML, and NUST.
The eight-week program kicks off on June 16, beginning with a two-day orientation at the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS).
Students will learn about the Constitution, lawmaking, Senate committees, and the Secretariat’s operations.
Since taking office in March 2024, Gilani has emphasized youth engagement. He previously launched a six-week unpaid internship, which has benefited over 426 students nationwide.
This year, the Senate is also expanding opportunities to O and A Level students in Islamabad, aiming to foster political awareness and leadership skills in younger demographics.
