More than 15,743 police personnel will be deployed across Karachi during Eid ul Adha as part of a special security plan ordered by Additional IG.
Police presence will be increased at mosques, Imambargahs, Eidgahs, and sacrificial skin collection points, with 4,091 officers in East Zone, 4,187 in South Zone, and 3,484 in West Zone.
Additionally, 3,981 personnel will secure sensitive areas and collection points to prevent any untoward incident, as directed by Additional IG Karachi, Javed Alam Odho.
To support rapid response, the Karachi Police will also deploy 5,105 patrolling pickets, 590 mobiles, and 1,340 motorcycles across the city.
A security alert has been issued for bazaars, shopping malls, and public gathering places.
Special instructions have been issued to traffic police to ensure smooth vehicle flow during Eid, while authorities have emphasized that citizens must report any suspicious activity to the emergency helpline 15.
The city police chief has directed officers to take all necessary measures to protect public life and property, urging citizens to stay alert and cooperate fully.
