The victims of the Defense Ittehad Commercial violence case, Dheeraj and Kalpana, have come forward and met with DIG South after receiving police assurance of security and justice.
Speaking to the police, the victim boy revealed he was going to pick up his sisters from their office in Khayaban-e-Ittehad when a car suddenly struck him. A man got out and began torturing him, ignoring his repeated apologies.
He added that a second man, holding a gun, forced him into the car and also beat him severely. Despite the sisters’ constant pleas to Salman Farooqui and another suspect, the attackers continued their violence and later released the victim with threats.
The victim’s family from Ranchhor Line had remained silent due to fear and pressure. Now, with the Sindh Police’s assurance of support, they have come forward and will formally record their statements.
