The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has postponed all intermediate board exams scheduled for May 28, following the Sindh government’s announcement of a public holiday to observe Youm-e-Takbeer.
A BIEK spokesperson confirmed that the affected exams will now be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, without any change in exam centers or admit cards.
Students are instructed to strictly follow the revised schedule and appear at their previously assigned centers.
According to the new timetable, Botany Paper-I for both Science (Pre-Medical and General) groups will now be conducted from 9 AM to 11 AM on May 30, instead of May 28.
Similarly, the English Normal Paper-I and English Advanced Paper-I, originally set for the afternoon session on May 28, will now be held on May 30 from 3 PM to 6 PM, instead of 2 PM to 5 PM.
Board officials emphasized that there will be no changes to seating arrangements or admit cards, and students must reach their designated centers on time, as announced by the board.
Candidates are also advised to keep checking official BIEK channels for any further updates.
The decision to reschedule the papers was taken in compliance with the provincial government’s announcement to mark Youm-e-Takbeer as a public holiday, commemorating Pakistan’s nuclear tests conducted on May 28, 1998.
With the revised plan in place, examiners and board authorities assured students of a smooth and fair continuation of the examination process across Karachi.
