Shaheen Shah Afridi, who captained Lahore Qalandars to their third PSL title last night, has been named the captain of the PSL X Team of the Tournament, selected by renowned members of the commentary panel.

The PSL X was contested across four cities – Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi – from April 11 to May 25. In the final, the Qalandars secured a six-wicket victory over Quetta Gladiators at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

The left-arm fast bowler, Shaheen, not only claimed the Fazal Mahmood Cap as the leading wicket-taker with 19 wickets in 13 matches but also leads a squad featuring two of his Qalandars teammates.

Sikandar Raza impressed with 254 runs, including two fifties, and 10 wickets across 11 matches, while Fakhar Zaman accumulated 439 runs, including four half-centuries in 13 games.

Quetta Gladiators, the 2019 champions, have three players in the team. Hasan Nawaz was named the tournament’s best batter, scoring 399 runs, including a century and three fifties in 12 matches. He is joined by all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, who contributed 163 runs and claimed 17 wickets, and spinner Abrar Ahmed, who took 17 wickets in 12 games.

Captain David Warner amassed 368 runs with three half-centuries in 11 matches, while opener James Vince tallied 378 runs with a century and three fifties. Pacer Hasan Ali took 17 wickets from 10 matches. Khushdil Shah, with 253 runs and seven wickets in 11 games, joins as the 12th player.
