Pakistanis in Dubai have set a new Guinness World Record by creating the world’s largest UAE flag using human handprints.
The flag was made with 24,514 handprints at a special event held on May 22 at the Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) auditorium.
People from over 100 nationalities, including Indians, Bangladeshis, Filipinos, and Arabs, took part in the event, showing the unity and diversity of the UAE.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, and Consul General Hussain Muhammad officially announced the record. Tirmizi praised the effort and called the handprints “heart marks,” symbolizing deep friendship between Pakistan and the Emirates.
The project was a joint effort by Pakistan Association Dubai, Emirates Loves Pakistan, and artist Rabab Zahra, who came up with the idea. The campaign started on April 13 during Pakistan Health Week and ran for a full month.
Rabab Zahra said, “This was a dream that came true. With hard work, courage, and unity, we made history today.”
Guinness judge Embali Nkosi congratulated the team, calling the event an “incredible achievement.” PAD President Dr. Faisal Ikram thanked everyone and said it reflects the UAE’s ‘Year of Community 2025’.
