David Warner, the Australian left-handed batter, made his Pakistan Super League (PSL) debut in season 10 as captain of Karachi Kings, but his campaign ended in disappointment as Lahore Qalandars successfully chased down a target of 191 runs in the Eliminator.

Speaking after the team’s exit, Warner said, “I loved being here in Pakistan. I hope I was able to bring smiles to people’s faces. The security is unbelievable – I even played some golf yesterday!”

He expressed his desire to return, saying, “I just want to say thanks to all the fans. We came back just to entertain people at home. I love being part of PSL.”

Despite Warner’s leadership, Karachi Kings were knocked out in Eliminator 1 after Qalandars chased down 191 runs, ending the team’s PSL journey.

Owned by Salman Iqbal, Karachi Kings is one of the popular teams in the league. It represents the multicultural spirit of Karachi, aiming not just for victory but also to promote cricket by developing local talent.

The team is coached by Ravi Bopara and enjoys a massive fan following across the country. However, their playoff loss means they will now look ahead to rebuilding for next season.
