Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has launched a digital billing system to improve transparency and make services more efficient for unregistered water users.
Following orders from Mayor Murtaza Wahab and CEO Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, the digital billing system allows easy registration through a one-window operation using CNIC and ownership papers.
According to Director Billing Mohsin Zulfiqar Qaimkhani, unregistered users can now join the Water Corporation network without long procedures or extra paperwork.
Required Documents:
Citizens only need to show their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and property documents to get added to the new billing system without delay or hassle.
Water Corporation has also introduced individual billing for flats where 75% or more units are occupied, ensuring fair billing for each resident.
Category-Based Billing System Introduced
Residential, commercial, and institutional properties will now be billed separately based on usage, making the system more-fair and need-based for every user.
Where and How to Apply
Consumers should visit the Water Corporation office at Block A, 9 Mile, Shahrae Faisal, to register their water connection under the new system.
The aim of this digital billing system in Karachi is to provide timely, fair, and sustainable water services for the betterment of all city residents.
