To ease holiday travel pressure, Pakistan Railways announced to run special trains from June 2 to June 4 across major cities for Eid-ul-Adha 2025, the department announced on Tuesday.
A Railways spokesperson said the first special train will leave Karachi Cantt on June 2 at 1 PM for Lahore. The second train will depart Quetta on June 3 at 10 AM for Peshawar Cantt, followed by a third from Lahore to Karachi on the same day at 5 PM.
The fourth Eid special train will run from Karachi City to Rawalpindi on June 3 at 8 PM, while the fifth will leave Karachi Cantt for Lahore on June 4 at 8 PM.
The official added that coaches for the first, second, and fourth trains will be assembled from workshops, while pre-set Eid racks will be used for the third and fifth.
Pakistan Railways stated the initiative aims to reduce Eid congestion and ensure safer, smoother travel for the public during the festive season.
