Third baseman Hussain played a key role, with two hits, four runs, and two RBIs. Wasim Akram and Muhammad Rehan added power, combining for four hits and four RBIs to dismantle India’s defense.
Starting pitcher Muhammad Haris allowed one earned run in 4.1 innings, striking out four. Relievers Syed Muhib Shah and Hussain Imam kept India scoreless while adding five more strikeouts.
India’s defense collapsed, committing 10 errors. Their pitchers walked eight Pakistani batters, helping Pakistan take full control from the start.
Pakistan now faces Palestine in final scheduled to be held on Wednesday May 21, aiming to retain their West Asia Baseball Cup title.
In a video message, Pakistan Federation Baseball President Syed Fakhar Ali Shah dedicated the win to the Armed Forces of Pakistan, calling it a proud moment for the country.
