Aurangzeb Ahmed becomes Pakistan’s most searched personality

Aurangzeb Ahmed

Air Vice Marshal of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Aurangzeb Ahmed has become the most searched person on Google in Pakistan, gaining sudden fame after tensions rose with India earlier this week.

According to Google Trends, searches for the name “Aurangzeb” reached their peak at 2 am on May 12. This rise followed his news briefing, which went viral for its confident and humorous tone.

In the now-famous clip, Ahmed remarked that he would “start from where we left off yesterday,” saying Pakistan led the PAF vs IAF score by 6-0 – a reference to downing six Indian aircraft. His bold delivery and sharp style captured the attention of social media users across Pakistan.

During his briefing, Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed confirmed that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) launched Operation Bunyanum Marsoos in response to Indian airstrikes on civilians during the night of May 6 and 7.

In retaliation, Pakistan reportedly hit 12 Indian military targets including Udhampur and Pathankot Airbases.

Among the aircraft destroyed were three Rafales, one SU-30, one MiG-29, and a drone, according to the PAF official.

Interestingly, while “Aurangzeb” was trending in Pakistan, the term “Ceasefire meaning” became India’s most searched phrase, with over 10 million queries in one day.

Aurangzeb Ahmed’s charisma and striking remarks have made him a national talking point, especially in a time of rising regional tensions.
