Pakistan’s military has confirmed the successful execution of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, a decisive response to Indian military attacks that killed civilians between 6 and 7 May 2025.
The ISPR stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces launched retaliatory strikes on 10 May 2025 following the killing of women, children, and elderly citizens in unprovoked Indian aggression.
According to a statement from ISPR, the Pakistani military carried out the operation using precision-guided long-range Fatah missiles, loitering munitions, airstrikes, and cyber attacks to disable Indian airbases, missile systems, logistics hubs, and intelligence outposts.
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) successfully engaged high-value targets including Air Force bases in Suratgarh, Bhuj, Sirsa, Adampur, Srinagar, Jammu, and Pathankot.
According to ISPR, Pakistan have destroyed BrahMos missile storage facilities in Beas and Nagrota – suspected to be used in the initial attacks – and neutralised S-400 missile systems at Adampur and Bhuj.
Military command units believed to have directed operations against Pakistani civilians were also struck, notably brigade headquarters at KG Top and Naushera.

The Armed Forces emphasized that every target was chosen with care, ensuring the response was “precise, proportionate, and restrained.”
Civilian areas were deliberately avoided, and only facilities directly involved in aggression or terrorism against Pakistan were hit, the ISPR statement reads.
Additionally, Pakistan accused India of launching increased terror activity through proxies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan during the eastern front operations.
Despite this, Pakistani security forces successfully carried out simultaneous counter-terrorism operations in the western region.
The operation also saw Pakistan demonstrate its cyber warfare strength, temporarily disabling critical Indian infrastructure, and showcased its unmanned aerial capabilities by flying armed drones over sensitive Indian locations, including New Delhi, to deliver a clear message.
The military credited the success to the unified efforts of the three armed services, the scientific community, youth cyber warriors, media, and political leadership, all of whom stood firmly behind the Armed Forces.
“Our nation’s unity and prayers became our strength,” the statement said. “Whenever our sovereignty is threatened, the response will be firm and decisive.”
Quoting the Holy Quran, the ISPR concluded: “They plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.”
