7 Karachiites killed for resisting robbery in new year

At least 7 citizens lost their lives at the hands of dacoits in just 17 days of the new year.

Fifty-five-year-old Abdul Azir, a resident of New Karachi Sector Five, was killed outside his house after resisting a robbery. The victim was killed by two robbers on resistance. The deceased was a father of eight children and a general store owner.

SHO Bilal Colony says that the incident may be of enmity rather than a robbery as the victim’s cellphone was at home and Rs 68 lakh was found in his pocket.

Despite the claims of the police and the notice of the Chief Minister, 7 people including a woman have died in the first 17 days of January.
