PSL matches moved to UAE after “Irresponsible Act” by India, says PCB Chairman

Pakistan Super League 2025

Following the tense situation between India and Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially relocated the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10.

According to the official statement, the remaining matches of PSL season 10 will now be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In a formal statement released, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that the safety of players and the integrity of the tournament are of utmost importance.

He stated, “The PCB has always maintained politics and sports separate.”

However, he condemned what he described as an “extremely irresponsible and dangerous act by India – deliberately targeting the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium,” which he claimed was aimed at disrupting the PSL.

In light of these threats, Naqvi explained that the decision to shift the remaining matches to the UAE was made to ensure the safety of both domestic and international players, who are considered valued guests. He also underscored the importance of maintaining the mental well-being of all participants amid rising tensions.

“As a responsible organization that has overcome adversities repeatedly and ensured that the game of cricket flourishes, it was important for us to ensure the mental well-being of all players participating in the HBL PSL,” Naqvi remarked. He expressed regret that fans in Pakistan would not be able to watch the matches in their home stadiums.

Despite the challenges posed by this situation, the PCB chairman expressed hope that the cricketing community and stakeholders would continue to support the league. “Like in the past, we hope that our stakeholders will rally with us to further the best interests of the tournament, our players, and the fans. We are committed to ensuring that the league continues to thrive,” he concluded.
