The company said the move comes as generative artificial intelligence increasingly influences how online content is created and shared. TikTok plans to introduce educational resources, enhanced spam detection systems, and stronger collaboration with industry organizations to help users navigate AI-powered experiences with greater confidence.
As part of the initiative, TikTok has partnered with the News & Media Literacy Alliance (NAMLE) and deepfake researcher Henry Ajder to develop practical guidance on recognizing AI-generated content and using AI tools responsibly.
In the coming weeks, TikTok will launch an in-app AI literacy hub in Pakistan. The hub will provide educational resources whenever users search for AI-related topics and will offer practical tips on identifying AI-generated videos, images, and other digital content.
