Eight khwarij were killed in operations at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) as Pakistan’s security forces carried out multiple intelligence-based missions against terrorists in four tribal districts of the province.
In the first operation in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, security personnel engaged a khwarij hideout. As a result, three militants were killed during an intense gunfight with troops.
The second mission took place in South Waziristan, where two terrorists were eliminated. During the engagement, Naik Mujahid Khan, aged 40 and from Kohat, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat.
In two more separate engagements in Khyber and Bannu, three more khwarij were killed, bringing the total number of eliminated militants in 24 hours to eight.
All the slain terrorists were reportedly involved in attacks against security forces and in target killings of innocent citizens across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The security forces recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the slain terrorists.
The military has now launched sanitization operations in the affected areas to clear any remaining threats and ensure public safety in the border regions.
