Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir led a Special Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at GHQ to review regional security threats.
The high-level military meeting focused on the current Pakistan-India standoff, recent tensions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), and regional geo-strategic developments.
The commanders reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The COAS praised the professionalism, morale, and preparedness of Pakistan’s armed forces.
The Forum condemned the Indian army’s continued aggression along the Line of Control (LoC) and human rights violations in IIOJK, especially after the Pahalgam attack.
Military officials said such Indian actions raise regional tensions and will receive a strong and proportionate response from Pakistan’s armed forces if needed.

The statement warned that India is using crises, like Pahalgam, to divert attention from internal failures and destabilize the region through aggressive policies.
Citing past incidents like Pulwama in 2019, the military noted that India tends to provoke conflict to justify unilateral moves in Kashmir.
The Forum also raised alarm over India’s alleged attempt to manipulate the Indus Waters Treaty, threatening water security for over 240 million Pakistanis.
Officials said India’s state-sponsored terrorism inside Pakistan violates international laws and poses a direct security threat to the country and the region.
While calling for regional peace and development, the army leadership emphasized that any aggression will be met with decisive force to protect Pakistan.
General Munir expressed full confidence in the army’s capabilities, saying Pakistan will not be intimidated by terrorism, coercion, or external threats.
