Board announce new date for Intermediate exams 2025

Intermediate exams 2025 Karachi

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has officially announced a new date for the intermediate examinations 2025.

Chairman Inter Board, Ghulam Hussain, stated that the intermediate exams, which were originally scheduled to start on April 28, have been postponed and will now commence on May 5, 2025.

He stated that around 126,000 students will appear for the exams this year, adding that strict action will be taken against those involved in cheating through WhatsApp groups.

He said a letter has been sent to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to crack down on these groups. “Both group admins and members will be held accountable,” the chairman warned.

The board has also identified 36 examination centres in Karachi as highly sensitive, meanwhile, letters have been sent to law enforcement and other relevant bodies to ensure tight security, monitoring at these locations.

The intermediate exams were originally scheduled for April 28 but were delayed due to two major reasons, according to the BIEK.

Firstly, the board is still finalizing the grace marks process for students who appeared in the first-year exams of 2024.

Secondly, several exam centres are currently occupied with matriculation exams, which began on April 8 and will continue until May 8.

Officials explained that the revised date will help ensure a smooth and fair exam environment and the availability of necessary exam centres.
