Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, invited entrepreneurs to explore business opportunities in different sectors across China, such as electric Vehicles (EVs), solar energy, and real estate.
Speaking at a networking event hosted by the Pakistani Embassy and a private group, the ambassador urged Pakistani firms to enter China’s fast-changing market.
The event drew a large crowd of business leaders, including heads of engineering and construction firms from the Pakistani community based in China.
Ambassador Hashmi highlighted that around 100 Pakistani companies were active in China’s engineering sector last year, a number that has now doubled to 200.
He called this growth a sign of deepening trust and stronger economic collaboration between the two countries across several booming sectors.

One of the event’s key achievements was the signing of MoUs between Pakistani and Chinese companies to enhance cooperation in engineering and investment.
The signed agreements aim to encourage joint ventures, ease investment processes, and improve knowledge exchange between Pakistani and Chinese businesses.
Ambassador Hashmi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting Pakistani companies through diplomatic channels and trade facilitation policies.
He emphasized that China’s booming green energy and infrastructure sectors offer long-term benefits for Pakistani investors willing to take bold steps.
The ambassador concluded by urging business leaders to seize this moment, form strategic alliances, and help boost Pakistan’s trade footprint in China.
