In a shocking incident, eight Pakistani workers killed in Iran were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in a car repair workshop in Sistan-Baluchestan province, as confirmed by the officials.
As per the media reports, the tragic attack occurred in a village in the Meharistan district, where the victims were staying and working at a local vehicle repair workshop.
According to Iranian authorities, all the victims were employed at the workshop and belonged to Bahawalpur, a city in southern Punjab of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the reports indicated that the armed men barged into the workshop during the night, tied the workers’ hands and feet, and opened indiscriminate fire, killing all eight on the spot before escaping.
Upon receiving the report, the Iranian police reached the area quickly and found the bodies, which were then shifted to a local hospital for examination.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed deep sorrow over the brutal killing, urging Iranian authorities to arrest and punish the perpetrators immediately.
He instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to contact the victims’ families and arrange the safe return of the bodies to Pakistan.
