Ashton Turner replaces Johnson Charles in Multan Sultans’ squad

Ashton Turner

Australia’s Ashton Turner has been officially announced as the replacement for Johnson Charles in Multan Sultans’ squad for the ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League 2025 season 10.

Charles, who has been sidelined due to injury from Multan Sultans, is currently undergoing rehabilitation under the supervision of the Cricket West Indies medical panel.

Turner, a proven top-order batter, is expected to join the Sultan’s squad in Rawalpindi next week and bring in valuable firepower at the top of the order.

He recently impressed in the 2024–25 Big Bash League (BBL), scoring 240 runs at a blistering strike-rate of over 147 for the Perth Scorchers.

Turner also played a crucial role in the Scorchers’ title-winning 2021–22 campaign, where he piled up over 350 runs with a strike-rate of 154.

His inclusion was formally approved by the HBL PSL 2025 Technical Committee, in line with league regulations for mid-tournament replacements.

The team hopes Turner’s experience and form will boost their chances as the tournament heats up in the coming weeks.
