In the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the Green Cap, officially known as the Hanif Mohammad Cap, is awarded to the top run-scorer of the season. It changes heads during the tournament as batters compete, and the final holder after the last match is crowned the season’s leading scorer.
Babar Azam has been a dominant force, winning the cap in 2020 and 2021. In the league’s early years, Kamran Akmal and Umar Akmal were the top scorers in the first two editions.
Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman have also worn the Green Cap in recent seasons, showcasing Pakistan’s batting depth. International players like Shane Watson and Luke Ronchi have also claimed the honor, proving PSL’s global appeal.
