A mild earthquake hit Karachi and several parts of Sindh on Monday, causing fear and panic among residents.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the quake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale and struck at 4:11 PM local time.
The tremors were felt in some areas including Scheme 33, Surjani, North Karachi, Sohrab Goth and surrounding areas.
The earthquake had a depth of 19 kilometers, with its epicenter located 73 kilometers north of Karachi.
No immediate reports of damage or casualties were received.
